What is sugar?
All sugar is made by first extracting sugar juice from sugar beet or sugar cane plants, and from there, many types of sugar can be produced. Through slight adjustments in the process of cleaning, crystallizing and drying the sugar and varying the level of molasses, different sugar varieties are possible.
What are the types of sugar?
Sugars are classified in a number of ways including crystal size (granulated, powdered, or superfine) and color (white or brown). Sugars of various crystal sizes provide unique functional characteristics that make the sugar suitable for different foods and beverages. Sugar color is primarily determined by the amount of molasses remaining on or added to the crystals, giving pleasurable flavors and altering moisture. Heating sugar also changes the color and flavor (yum, caramel!). Some types of sugar are used only by the food industry and are not available in the supermarket.
How to store sugar?
Storage containers should be opaque, airtight, and moisture/ odor-proof. The typical retail paper package for crystal sugars is not suitable for long term storage. Polyethylene bags, Mylar-type bags, food-grade plastic buckets, glass canning jars, are all suitable for dry sugar storage. Glass canning jars work best for liquid syrups and honey.
1. Store in a sealed bag
Filling the sugar into the bag, and use the machine to seal the bag to isolate the outside air. So the sugar will not crystallize easily.
2. Store in colored container
What machine is used to pack sugar?
There are many types of sugar packaging, and there are also many kinds of bags. According to the weight of different bags and sugar, different types of packaging machines can be selected. There are usually the following kinds of sugar bags on the market: sachets bag; pouch bag and pp woven bag.
1. Sachets sugar packing machine
Sachets bag is suitable for sachets packing machine. The packaging weight is relatively small, usually 2-20g stick bag; 3 side seal bag and 4 side seal bag. Use a volumetric cup or linear scale to weigh the sugar.
Automatically measuring volume, making bags, filling, sealing, cutting, printing the lot number and cutting easy tearing notches,making continuous sachet ,finished product conveying.
2. VFS granule packing machine
Pouch bag is suitable for packing 100g-5kg of sugar. There are also many types of pouch bags, including pillow bag, gusset bag and quad seal bag. The packaging of this type of bag is done by a vfs granule packing machine.
According to the forming method of the bag, pouch bag can be divided into premade bag and roll film bag. The packaging film will decide the design of a normal sugar packing machine. For the sugar mill industry using 1kg pouch packaging, normally two kinds of films are commonly adopted: one is the laminated film and another is LLDPE Single Layer Film.
Premade bag packing machine can complete premade bag packing. The types of premade bag are: standup bag, zipper bag; standup zipper bag and so on.
3. Auto bagging machine
Sugar bagging machine is also called open mouth bagging machine. Sugar bagging machine is usually suitable for packing 10-50kg of sugar, the bag is PP woven bag. Working processing from Raw material supplying, auto weighing filling , auto bag feeding, auto open mouth bagging, auto bag moving, auto bag sealing , finsihed products output.
In addition to the above three types of packaging, there is also a secondary packaging machine for sugar. This unit is mainly to complete the fully automatic packaging process of neatly loading the already packaged small bag products (500~1000g) into composite film plastic bags and heat sealing according to the requirements (form of arrangement: single or double-row horizontal grouping etc.) so as to realize fully automatic operation from small pack packaging of bulk material to packaging of composite film plastic bags, save input in manpower, material and financial resources, reduce production cost for customers as well as improve production efficiency.
All in all, different types of machines can complete the packaging of different bags. The sugar packaging mode can be changed according to the needs of the market.
